Makerere University being the center for knowledge and innovativeness, it is kind of disturbing and disappointing that our environment has been polluted to this extent. The tagged photo was taken in the Makerere University staff residential quarters (New Avenue). It clearly shows poor solid waste disposal and management practices as the waste is unsorted, and vermin/scavengers can easily get in contact with it which has overall public health implications.
